Harvard Club of Serbia - SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Tuesday, 25 March 2014

Harvard Club of Serbia is about to launch a scholarship fund for students studying at universities in Serbia. This year the fund will grant two scholarships: one for the final year student in humanities and social science, and one for the final year student enrolled in science studies. Application package is being prepared and the call for submission of applications will be made in late April/early May this year, while scholarships awarded in June 2014. One scholarship is named after Čedomilj Mijatović (1842 – 1932), a Serbian statesman, economist, historian, writer, politician, and diplomat, while the second is named after Draginja Draga Ljočić (1855-1926), the first Serbian female doctor, who was also eminent activist and feminist. Both Mijatović and Ljočić studied at distinguished universities in Munich, Leipzig, Zurich and Vienna. We hope that their biographies will spark the students’ interest and inspire them to apply for the Harvard Club of Serbia scholarships.
