Irish Coffee Party
Thursday, 17 February 2005

Hosted and organized by HCS members Mary Black and Ozren Tosic to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Serbia

St. Patrick’s day was celebrated in true Irish tradition at the home of Dr. Mary E Black MPH 90 and Dr. Ozren Tosic MPH 96. 25 Harvard club members and families gathered to enjoy smoked salmon flown in especially from Galway, and a selection of Irish and local food and wine. Traditional Irish music was played throughout. A highlight of the evening was a demonstration of how to make the perfect Irish coffee by Tara Tosic (age 10), Luka Tosic (8) and Magda Anastasijevic. Special guests were the President of the Harvard Club of Croatia Romana Vlahutin MPA 98, who is now second secretary at the Croatian embassy in Belgrade, and our member from Slovenia, Greg Tobias HBS 04. The weather remained fine throughout and the "craic" was mighty. We will continue to intersperse events for Harvard members, families and friends with more formal debates, recruitment drives and academic events.
